How your deposits are protected
The Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO) is a provincial agency providing deposit insurance protection for the Members of Ontario Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires. Each depositor in Your Neighbourhood Credit Union is insured to a maximum of $100,000 for the combined principal, interest, and dividends relating to that Member's total deposits.
Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF) or Home Buyers Plan (HBP) contracts and unique trust or joint accounts are separately insured up to $100,000 per contract or account.
